Benjamin van Gaalen

Currently, I work in Huis Marseille, Museum for Photography doing Press, Publicity & Online. Under the moniker Moon Regime, I just released an ambient record titled Peak End Times consisting of loop music that I made with a bass guitar, some effects and a one-track loop station. It's nice music to fall asleep to. I also play bass and sing in a new band named Fix Everything, first EP coming Q4 2017.

Recently, I did subtitles for absurdist short film Dying Dandy, directed by Mink Pinster and Eva de Boer, and for independent documentary To those still in doubt, a project by Roos van der Kamp.

A while back, I was the interim Communication Manager for Coded Matter(s) #10: Algorithmic Wildlife and writer/translator for The Star Disappeared, a photo book by photographer Nick van Tiem about amateur astronomers, designed by Dayna Casey. I was the vocalist and founding member of hardcore punk trio Tijger Salto which released one record titled 11,5% (also available on Spotify) before disbanding.
